 Week 10

Difference Between Android and iOS

  1. Operating System

    • Android (by Google) is open-source and used by many brands.
    • iOS (by Apple) is exclusive to iPhones and iPads.
  2. Customization

    • Android allows more customization (widgets, themes, third-party apps).
    • iOS is more restricted but offers a smooth, controlled experience.
  3. Apps & Downloads

    • Android lets you install apps from multiple sources, including outside the Play Store.
    • iOS only allows apps from the Apple App Store for security reasons.
  4. Security & Updates

    • Android is more open but can be vulnerable to malware; updates vary by device.
    • iOS is more secure with frequent updates for all Apple devices.
  5. Device Compatibility

    • Android is used on various devices at different price points.
    • iOS is only on Apple devices, ensuring a consistent experience.
  6. Integration

    • Android works well with Google services and multiple device brands.
    • iOS integrates smoothly with other Apple products (Mac, iPad, Apple Watch).
